I did this drawing for :icongabbyd70: contest:)
I never entered a contest on Da before, so i thought to try this one:)
There are already many cool entries, so i don't expect much:D

I used ref only for the iris, rest i made up:)

Bit smaller than a4, green canson paper, coloured pencils and a bit of pastels.

EDIT: reworked it a bit, added some darker shades to the inside of the eye and the eyelid

Absolutely beautiful coloring! The only issue I have with it is that the image has more vertical length than horizontal. The shape of the eye draws us to look past pointing edges to the side. But here, that space for the eye to look is gone, kind of making it seemlike the eye itself is crowded a bit.... did any of that make sense?? now that I look over it, I'm not so sure... But I still love it :XD: (talked about a mixed review...sorry x_X)
